You Are Pawesome

Today I'm sharing a card I made featuring the Favor Bag Accessories - Dog - Creative Cuts from Mama Elephant. I absolutely love all of the different pups you can create from these dies! So adorable! But of course for my first time using these products I had to go with a pup that looks like my Pepper :)

If you follow me on Facebook then you know that Pepper has been recovering from several shoulder injuries. Over the past three months we've consulted with several vets and orthopedic specialists here in Colorado, and Pepper has been through lots of physical exams, imaging, procedures/treatments, forced rest and physical therapy. Throughout this entire time our dear friend, who is a vet and teaches at LSU's Vet School in Louisiana, has been an incredible help to us. Orthopedics is not her specialty, but each step along the way she's consulted with her colleagues who do specialize in orthopedics and together they've provided an additional set of professional opinions that have really helped in easing our minds and guiding us down an appropriate path for Pepper's treatment/recovery. This card is going to our friend and her colleagues along with a basket full of goodies. We will never be able to thank them enough. These people work crazy hours and have so much going on in their own lives, yet they took the time to help us. We will be forever grateful for their kindness. And I'm happy to report that we were recently given the go-ahead from the orthopedic specialist here in Colorado to slowly start ramping up Pepper's activity level. She's doing really well so far and loves being back out on the trails. I'll post some photos soon!

Have a fantastic weekend!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hello There Friend

Today I'm sharing some cards I created using the sketch over at Where Creativity Meets C9!

Here's the sketch:

And here's my take:

I used the Posie Fill-In Stamp Set and Dies, which is absolutely fantastic! A HUGE THANK YOU to Concord and 9th for giving these goodies to us at our recent Stamping Away retreat! I had LOTS of fun playing with these products and this sketch! So much so that I made this same card in a whole rainbow of colors:

I die-cut the word friend from strips of white cardstock and then from a bunch of colored cardstock. I adhered the white strips onto the card base at a diagonal and then inlaid the letters in rainbow order. Making a whole set like this is a great way to use up all of the die-cut letters :)

I also made a second version using patterned paper behind the die-cut letters:

And of course I couldn't just make one of these either...I made three:

Hope you're having a fabulous weekend!!!

Thanks for visiting!

Wish

Hello there! Today I'm playing along with the most recent Wednesday Sketch Challenge over at My Favorite Things!

Here's the sketch:

And here's my card:

I absolutely LOVE this Wish Die-namics from My Favorite Things! So super fun and versatile! A big THANKS to my sweet friend, Laurie, for letting me borrow this at our recent crafty retreat :)

I cut the Wish Die-namics from a variety of colored cardstocks and the little candle flame from silver sparkle cardstock. When adhering the letters to the card panel, I used one of the pieces with the negative spots to help me line up and appropriately space the letters. The splatters are from an older MFT stamp set called Abstract Art, which I find myself reaching for time and time again.

Thanks for stopping by!

Have a wonderful weekend!!!

Winnie & Walter Rerun

Happy Friday! Today I'm super excited to be taking part in Winnie and Walter's Rerun - Welcome To The Family With Evelin T Designs (Challenge + Giveaway + Sale!)!!! This is such a fun event! Huge THANKS to Shay for inviting me to participate :) Be sure to head on over to the Winnie and Walter Blog for all of the details.

My card features several images from the Welcome To The Family With Evelin T Designs Stamp Set (including that absolutely ADORABLE elephant), the coordinating Cutaways, and the In A Word: Baby Cutaway.

My cousin is expecting her first baby (a boy) in June, so I had her in mind while I was creating.

The box is paper pieced with green cardstock and patterned paper.
I die-cut the word twice: once from white cardstock and once from black cardstock and adhered the two together just slightly off-set from each other. I thought this tied it in nicely with the black and white hearts.

Here's a closer look:

As a finishing touch, I added a bunch of sparkle to the white die-cut word and the insides of the hearts with a clear Wink Of Stella pen. Sooo shimmery in person!

I hope you'll play along with this Rerun Challenge! Looking forward to seeing all of your fabulous creations!!!

Have a great weekend!

Happy Thanksgiving

Hello there! Playing along with the Just Us Girls Word Week 418 Challenge. This week the word is "thankful."

Thanksgiving Day is just around the corner, and I've been working on creating a few cards to send to my family to let them know how grateful I am for them.

Today's card features the adorable turkey from Happy Turkey by Pretty Pink Posh! Isn't he super cute?!?! A big THANKS to Amy Kolling for letting me borrow this stamp and die set at our October retreat :)

I had so much fun coloring the turkey in non-traditional colors to coordinate with the plaid patterned paper in the background!

Thanks for visiting!

I hope you're having a great week! We're dog sitting for our neighbor friend, so we have sweet 10-month old Dutch staying with us. Pepper is having a fantastic time running, wrestling, tugging, and playing keep away with her buddy! It's exhausting just watching them! HA!

Happy Halloween!

Hello there! Just wanted to stop by and share a few more projects I made for Halloween!

First up, I made a bunch of tags to decorate bags of homemade dog treats for Pepper's furry friends. Here's a look at the front of the tags:

...and here's the back:

I made 9 tags and treat bags using a combination of some of my favorite Halloween products from several of my favorite companies. I've included a supply list at the end of this post.

We delivered the treat bags last Friday and they were a big hit! FUN!!!

Next up, a tag I made featuring Lil' Inker Designs products. I used the tag to dress up a Halloween package for my friend's little guy:

Here's a look at the back side of the tag:

And last up, some tags and treat bags I delivered to my neighbor girlfriends today. The tags say, "Trick or Treat Smell My Feet."

Inside each bag I placed a bottle of foot cream (an absolute necessity if you live in Colorado!) and a bottle of nail polish:

Here's how they looked all put together:

Thanks for visiting!!!

I hope you enjoyed my projects for today! I had a TON of fun making them!!!
